
Courtney Hardart is a key member of Spencer Stuart’s global Consumer and Retail, Apparel & Luxury Goods Practices. She joined the firm in 2004 and is based in the firm’s New York office. Courtney specializes in searches for senior executives in general management, merchandising, marketing and operations roles. Her clients include companies across the specialty apparel & accessories, beauty and luxury goods industries.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Courtney directed the marketing of LMVH’s Dom Pérignon in the United States, where she helped re-establish the brand as the world leader in the luxury champagne market. She began her marketing career in the L’Oréal Paris division of L’Oréal USA.
Earlier, she held several positions in public affairs at Altria Group and Hill & Knowlton Public Affairs Worldwide. Courtney also worked in the public sector as a member of the First Lady’s staff at the White House.
Courtney holds a B.A. in government from Smith College and an M.B.A. from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Fluent in French, she also studied at the Université de Genève. She serves on the leadership committee for the Inner-City Scholarship Fund’s Capital Improvement Committee and the Annual Events Committee at the University Club in New York.
