Jeff is the Head of Worldwide Financial Services Compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, he is responsible for leading a global team of Compliance Specialists and Program Managers who work directly with AWS partners and financial institutions to adapt their control frameworks to successfully move to the AWS cloud. In addition, Jeff leads a Compliance team that assists Financial Services customers in the evolution of existing—or the creation of new—governance frameworks of varying sizes and complexity. Jeff has over 20 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Governance, Compliance, and Trading. Before joining AWS, he was a Managing Director in the Markets Group at BNY Mellon. As Head of Regulatory Affairs & Governance, Jeff led a global team responsible for assessing business impact interpretation and implementation of regulatory changes across the BNY Mellon Markets Group. Prior to his role as Head of Regulatory Affairs, he was Vice President of Global Compliance at BNY Mellon, where he served as Chief of Staff for the Head of Global Compliance for Broker-Dealers, Markets, and Treasury. Jeff joined BNY Mellon in 2009 from NYSE Euronext, where he was a Market Surveillance and Regulation Manager, investigating market activity of listed securities and coordinating findings with the SEC and other Self-Regulating Organizations. Prior to NYSE Euronext, Jeff held senior positions on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as an Equity Specialist for Susquehanna International Group and M.J. Meehan and Company, LLC Jeff holds a J.D. in Corporate Law from the Rutgers University School of Law and a B.A. in Law and Society from American University
